Units and data formats

In the Settings, you can choose the system of units you are using when recording your clients’ measurements: imperial or metric.

52C will interpret the values you enter according to the chosen system of units.

What does that mean? Let’s say you chose imperial as the system of metrics you’re using.

  • If you enter a value of weight without any unit, the record will be interpreted as lbs.
  • If you enter value in kilograms, they will be automatically converted to lbs in the client’s profile.

To sum up: the chosen system of metrics is the way the data is presented, no matter in what units you enter the data. You can always switch the system of units in the Settings, and all your data will be presented in the chosen system.

What records can I enter and what they will be interpreted as?

The idea of pen-and-paper is that whatever you jot down, it will be there. A piece of paper will never tell you: “sorry, wrong data format”. Neither will 52C. The way you recording your data depends on you. It should be as quick and convenient as possible.
